So for our Five Year Anniversary we wanted to do something special because we really haven't done anything great since the 1st. Grammy Swavely (Eileen) volunteered to watch Haley for us overnight! We dropped her off at around 11:30am and then headed down to Gettysburg, PA. We bought tickets for a Candlelight Walking Ghost Tour which we were about to start here in the picture and then went to see the brand new "Gettysburg National Military Park and Museum". The museum was AWESOME!!! We went last year to the old Museum with some friends and it was really run down. The new one is so high tech and laid out beautifully. My highlight of the museum was at the very end when you walk into this room that has the Gettysburg Address written all over the walls and then it is written in full on a window that looks out into these beautiful grove of trees. On speakers overhead they have Sam Waterston of "Law and Order" "Jack McCoy" reading the Gettysburg Address as Abraham Lincoln as it might have been like many years ago. It was very moving. Then we went to dinner and then from there headed to our Ghost Tour. The Ghost Tour was so fun! You learn a lot of history about the area and some really neat stories that people had with encounters with ghosts. We tried to be great little investigators while on this tour by taking lot's of photos of ourselves hoping to catch an "orb" or something. We didn't catch any ghosts but we sure did have fun getting a little creeped out by the idea that we might still be surrounded by old Civil War soldiers!! We wrapped up our trip by going back to Eileen's and playing with Haley for a few hours before we went and saw "The Dark Knight" while she was down for her nap. The movie was awesome and Zac and I got some much needed "us" time that we rarely ever see. So, thanks again to the Grandparents who helped watch Haley we had a great Five Year Anniversary!
Here is a picture of the new Museum. I am mostly posting this for my brother Trevor who is the biggest History buff I know! The kid got a 5 out of 5 on his AP American History exam. He loves history and needs to come out so we can take him to Gettysburg and spend a few days there. It is really impressive and humbling to be on the battle field and to learn how it all went down. The thing that struck me the most was that it was worst battle this country has ever had and yet it was Americans fighting Americans. Or at least that is how I look at it. I don't want to live in a Country where the North didn't win the Civil War but it was such a sacrifice on the part of the young soldiers who fought and died so long ago.

Cool vacation. I'm applying to UPenn (and I hope I get in) for PhD school. So we can hang out with you guys and go see a l the awesome historical sties. VIVA PA!
